Address of His Excellency the Prince Regent
Brief presentation of the mission:
I consider the apostolic mission entrusted to me as a humble yet firm testimony of fidelity to the spiritual heritage of our Cistercian Order, as well as to its humanistic and religious vocation. In the light of Holy Tradition and the teaching of Saint Bernard of Clairvaux, I understand my service as a responsibility to safeguard and to strengthen the spiritual integrity and the contemplative depth of our community, so that it may remain a living presence of the Gospel in the contemporary world.
Through prayer, the liturgical rhythm, and pastoral discernment, I strive to be a guardian of the unity between faith, reason, and charity, thereby contributing to the building of a society inspired by an authentically Christian humanism.
The Church can never renounce the mission of proclaiming the Gospel, the living expression of the Father’s merciful love for every human being.
Pope Francis, Evangelii Gaudium, § 24
